As we move into this week, we will be talking about the Sony Open the first event with a full 144 players. A lock will be Jordan Spieth, he played so well in Maui and I’m assuming he will keep rolling the rock well. I’m also going to go with Zac Blair, Mark Hubbard, Chris Kirk, Cody Gribble and Patrick Rodgers. Zac Blair played well there last year which should make him a contender again. While he did have a so so year last year, I wouldn’t doubt he is looking to improve and start the year off right this week. Mark Hubbard is a great pick as he drives it straight and rolls the rock well. Waialae is a tight course as should be a great setup for Hubbard, along with Chris Kirk who drives it well and has a fantastic short game. Next Cody Gribble he proved to have game last week but faltered a bit down the stretch but still finished at -14. Finally Patrick Rodgers, a great player who proved his own last year. Starting the year off with new equipment but seems like it wont be much of change as he has been pounding balls for the last couple weeks back home in Florida.
